The Asanka bowl, meticulously handcrafted in Ghana, boasts an impressive 11-inch diameter and features distinctive ridges inside.
The Asanka bowl is not just a mortar and pestle; it’s a piece of art, a testament to the craftsmanship of Ghanaian artisans. Each bowl is carefully shaped from natural clay, ensuring durability and longevity. The natural clay material also lends a unique aesthetic appeal, making it a beautiful addition to any kitchen decor. The Asanka is complemented by a wooden grinder called tapoli, which is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable grip, making the grinding process effortless and efficient.
This mortar and pestle natural set is perfect for a variety of culinary uses. From grinding spices and herbs to preparing traditional Ghanaian dishes, the Asanka bowl is versatile and functional. It is particularly popular in chop bars across Ghana, where it is used as both a grinding tool and a serving bowl. The ridges inside the bowl ensure that ingredients are thoroughly ground, releasing their full flavor and aroma. This large mortar and pestle set is ideal for making guacamole, pesto, and other flavorful dishes. Its size and design make it suitable for a variety of grinding tasks, from small quantities of spices to larger batches of sauces.
In addition to its functionality, the Asanka bowl is also a sustainable choice and alternative to the marble mortar and pestle set. By choosing this handmade product, you are supporting Ghanaian artisans and promoting traditional craftsmanship.
