Returns are accepted within 14 days of the order delivery date.

Perishable, frozen, and heavy items are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Customer-Fault Returns (Store Credit)
Returns initiated for reasons not caused by African Delights—including but not limited to change of mind, wrong item/variant/size ordered, misunderstanding of promotions (including free-shipping eligibility), incorrect or undeliverable address, or refused/unclaimed deliveries—are refunded as store credit (digital gift card). Original shipping is non-refundable; return shipping is the customer’s responsibility; a 5% restocking fee applies. Store credit has no expiration and is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Before Shipment: Orders canceled for reasons not caused by us may be refunded as store credit (digital gift card) or, upon request, to the original payment method where required by law.
After Shipment / Label Created: Orders cannot be canceled. Eligible items may be returned under our Return & Refund Policy. If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, or returned to sender due to customer-provided details, we will issue store credit minus original shipping, any carrier return fees, and the 5% restocking fee after the item is received and inspected.
To initiate a return, please visit your customer account at https://account.africandelightstore.com – no password required. Once approved, you’ll receive instructions for return. Refunds will be processed after we receive and inspect the item.
If your order has not been delivered within seven (7) days after the latest delivery date or the carrier’s estimated delivery date, it may be eligible for a lost package reimbursement.
Please note: Orders marked as delivered by the carrier are not eligible for reimbursement.
Many orders shipped via eligible carriers include shipping insurance. In the case of a lost package, the customer may be able to file a claim directly with the carrier to recover the cost of the order.
If your order appears to be lost or is missing, please contact us—we’ll assist with tracking and guide you through the next steps.
Orders returned to sender as refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable based on customer-provided details will be processed as a customer-fault return and refunded as store credit minus original shipping, any carrier return fees, and the 5% restocking fee.
Please reply to your order email with your original order number and either a photo of the inside of the shipping box showing the received items (if you received some items) or a photo of the empty box (if only one item was expected).
Please reply to your order email with your order number along with the name of the product received, a short description of how it differs from what was ordered, and a photo clearly showing the item and its label.
Please reply to your order email with your order number, the name of the damaged item, a brief description of the damage, and clear photos showing the entire item, the label (with size if applicable), and the damaged area.
Once your return is approved and received, we will process your refund as follows:
Customer-Fault Returns: Refunded as store credit (digital gift card). Original shipping is non-refundable; return shipping is paid by the customer; a 5% restocking fee applies. Store credit has no expiration and is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Our Error (wrong item shipped, verified damage, or confirmed shortage): Refunds are issued to the original payment method or we can arrange a replacement.
Please allow up to 10 business days for refunds to appear on your statement (where applicable).
